My Paper Valentine

Check out this awesome kit by Shilo. The papers and elements are awesome and easy to work with. You can you use this kit for any type of picture. I created a layout using this kit for a memory page (need to add a page with wording). It's a layout of my son from this February on Valentine's Day. As I mentioned in a previous posting, he's father passed away last September. Well my son, Johnathan wanted to get a card for his daddy. So, we bought some balloon's, tied the card to the balloon's and sent it to heaven.

To purchase the kit, you can go to Elemental Scraps to pick it up.

Trick or Treat

Halloween is my youngest son's favorite thing in the world. You should see all of the skeleton's and pumpkins this kid has. Umm, lets just say lots.

Here is a picture of him. He just loved this costume. Isn't he cute?

The weather was great last night and he now has plenty of candy. First thing this morning, he headed to the bucket. I had to keep shooing him away from it. Kids.....LOL

In other news, today is Digital Scrapbooking Day. Lots of sales going on, prizes being given away.......you name it. Hopefully everyone shopped and found some awesome sales.

At Elemental Scraps, Jennifer Barrette and Pamela Donnis are having a great sale, so pop on over and check it out.

Field Trip

Today was a fun day. My youngest son Johnathan had his first field trip. I'm one of those parents that like to volunteer and help with the trips. Let me just say, Kindergarten kids have lots of energy!

Their field trip was at the Indianapolis Art Museum. Do you know how hard it is to keep 5 years old away from art they aren't suppose to touch? Yikes.

After we were finished in the museum, we sat outside and ate lunch. Afterwards the kids played for a while, then we took a walk along the museum grounds. It's very pretty there and I saw some areas for taking great pictures. Can't wait to go back and take some shots. Here is my little guy on his first field trip.

A Sad Day

Well, the weekend was good. The kids and I went to a park that has trails. We walked on them for a while, had ice cream and left. As we were leaving we saw signs for an apple orchard. So, we followed them and found the orchard. We had fun picking our own apples.....great time and perfect weather.

A year ago today, my youngest son's daddy passed away. A day after his 39th birthday. Telling my son was the hardest thing I have ever done. At 4 years old, he really didn't know what death was. There are moments where he will get angry or sad and it's so heartbreaking.

Yesterday we visited his grandparents and we celebrated Mike's birthday. It may seem silly, but I don't want my son to forget his daddy. We had a cake and Johnathan blew out the candles. A little emotional.........but I'm glad we did it.

Figuring It Out

Hmm, trying to figure out how to change this blog. I now have a header but can't get rid of the template. UGH!

It's about bedtime. I have a nagging headache and I'm not in the mood to mess with it.

Wow, A Blog!

I finally created a blog. I have thought about it off and on. So, here I am.

I decided to create one because of my addicting hobby........scrapbooking.

In the past couple of week's I applied to join some creative teams. I know mine is not as great as some, but I'm getting there. I was accepted to two CT's. The first one was for Mama Mia and the second for Pamela Donnis. Both ladies are fantastic and have awesome designs. To check their stores out, just click on their names.

Later this weekend, I'll post some layouts using their kits.

Ok, I'm off to check this blog thing out and get it set up. I'll be back later.

About Me
